Fire resistant, high temperature adhesives are used as a component of the stone wool board, structural steel fire protection system. High temperature adhesives provide a fast and economic solution to fixing stone wool board to steel, concrete and masonry substrates. In temperatures in excess of 1000 degrees C, the high temperature adhesive forms a durable glass-like structure, keeping the fire protection in place during the course of a fire.

Fire Rated Adhesive contains a water-based inorganic polymer and filler and is designed to withstand temperatures greater than 1200 °C.
