Institute needed more advanced laboratories and modern facilities to facilitate their growth.Karolinska Institute required a new building for experimental research across disciplinary boundaries and for collaboration with clinical research. The new campus building added 65,000 square meters of floor space, making Biomedicum one of Europe’s largest laboratories.
