Mortars provide a durable, high impact, load bearing fire seal in floors and walls for single and multiple penetrations (openings greater than 30mm wide). Fire mortars allow contractors to fill large openings in floors using lightweight stone wool slab, rather than traditional plyboard shuttering. In a fire, fire mortar is incombustible and has a cooling effect around services by releasing chemically bound water.

EX Mortar is a dry, white powder which consists of inorganic components and perlite which form a fire sealing compound to prevent the spread of fire.
